The American Professional League star Dawyan Wadi reveals the diagnosis of kidney cancer and surgery


Chicago (WGN) – The basketball hall in Famir Dawayyan Wadi revealed on Thursday that nearly half of his kidneys was removed in late 2023 after doctors found a tumor.

Chicago’s citizen shared the “shocking” diagnostic story and the emotional losses he took in the last episode of “The”.

Wadi, who was 43 years earlier this month, said that his father’s trip with prostate cancer inspired him to see a doctor after he faced stomach problems, cramps and difficulty urination. A tumor found in his right kidney was removed during December 18, 2023, shared. It was later found to be cancerous.

While kidney cancer does not cause symptoms at first, it can develop over time, as explained by Mayo Clinic. These signs often include blood in the urine, loss of appetite, consistent pain in the back or side, fatigue and uncovered weight loss. It is also unclear what can cause kidney cancer, although Mayo Clinic says those who suffer from certain inheritance cases, or a family history of kidney disease at a great risk.

He said in the podcast: “My journey to perform this surgery, I think it was the first time that my family, my father, and my children see me weak.” “Perhaps that moment was the weakest point I felt in my life.”

Wad indicated that his family was the one who gave him a perseverance.

The veteran athlete said: “What I saw in the midst of my illness, I saw my family that may not always speak, may not always agree.” “I saw everyone appearing for me and there is for me and in this process, in weakness, I found strength in my family.”

Wadi was formulated in the first round of the American Professional League draft in 2003 after playing with the University of Market at the college.
