Larry Samarz seems to be an alert to inflation under Trump
On Wednesday, former Treasury Secretary, Larry Samarz, made a warning about inflationary threats under the Trump administration, after a new report found that inflation increased unexpectedly to 3 percent in January.
“We are now in the most dangerous period of inflation policy since the early Biden administration,” said Samarz, who served as the Treasury Secretary during the era of former President Clinton and the director of the National Economic Council during the era of former President Obama, in a employee on Wednesday.
“Even without customs tariffs, immigration restrictions, bloating and attacks on the Federal Reserve, there will be serious reasons for anxiety of inflation.”
Trump imposed a new tariff on imports with the threat of great definitions on Canada and Mexico. He also sought to increase the number of deportations from the United States.
The summer was martyred by the rise in the Consumer Prices Index (CPI) as a cause of anxiety. The consumer price index has increased by 0.5 points since December.
“Another negative report is the consumer price index. Each of the actual and essential inflation rises last month faster than 5 percent,” Smarz explained in a separate publication.
“With inflation much higher than the target, high expectations are high, growth is higher than capabilities and unemployment, there is a previous problem even before the new policy.”
He expected that Trump’s second presidency would negatively affect the ability of consumers to buy goods from abroad and that inflation would rise.
