The NWSL team in Colorado finally has a name

The new National Football League in Denver finally has the name.

The club officially described Denver Sumit on Tuesday morning after a period of months of fans along the front range. The name got approximately 75 % of more than 15,000 ballot cards to overcome five other options: Denver Peak FC, Colorado 14ers FC, Denver EleVate FC, Denver FC and Denver Gold FC.

“Summit Fc was a fugitive favorite, which was fortunate, because the ownership really encouraged and wanted the fans to have a voice in this, they loved this name as well,” said Jin Millite, Summit, Jane Millette. “It was an ideal costume event that the fans appeared strong, and the property also had a great convergence.”

The primary logo of the team is a four -colored summit that includes white letters, green and white mountains, and the sun and yellow sunset. The club also revealed two secondary slogans – one of which includes “5280” in addition to one letter “D”.

Melit said that the decision to link the team with Denver instead of Colorado was taken due to the contact that the club would contact the city. While Summit FC will play its first two seasons in a temporary stadium in Centennial, the team plans to build a 14500-seat stadium in Santa Fe Yards in Broadway and I-25, which is expected to open in 2028 as the first sporting place for women in the state.

“We felt proud of that and we want to admit this (calling the city),” said Melt. “The stadium in Santa in Yardat will be a great part of the Denver fabric.”

The club worked in cooperation with two other teams in the state who were already using the name of the summit. According to Summit FC, the Colorado summit will be renamed at the Ferisby Final Association. There is also the Denver Summit Football Club, LGBTQ+ Flag Local Football Club.

NWSL presented a brand to Denver Sumit FC on July 11. Melt said the club “is excited to the fans to connect themselves to identity now, and not just a temporary name.” The club’s brand was implemented by Matthew Wolf, a graphic designer who created slogans for many football clubs, including many in NWSL.
