O’Reilly: Trump’s past dealings with the mob prepared him to deal with Putin
Former news anchor Bill O’Reilly believes President-elect Trump’s past dealings with the mob prepared him for difficult negotiations with foreign leaders like Russian President Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.
As a New York City real estate mogul, O’Reilly said Trump was willing to sit down and talk to the mob because he knew they had the power to derail his projects.
“Trump didn’t break the law, but he knew the mob was controlling the cement union workers and all this other stuff,” O’Reilly told NewsNation’s Leland Vittert in an upcoming “USA” special.
“He’ll talk to anyone, Trump, if he can get what he wants from them,” O’Reilly added.
He added that this experience could serve the president-elect well when he begins his second term next week.
“He has no regrets,” O’Reilly said. “Putin is one of the worst people on earth. Trump has a good relationship with him.”
The veteran news presenter also believes Trump’s willingness to have tough talks will lead to an agreement in Ukraine “fairly quickly.”
