The FTC Commissioner says he “unlawfully shot” by Trump

A Commissioner of the Federal Trade Committee (FTC) said that he had “fired illegally” by President Trump.

In a statement posted on the Social X, Alvaro Bedoya said that it was incorrectly ended by Trump, describing it as “normal and simple” corruption.

“FTC is an independent agency established 111 years ago to fight fraudsters and monopolies. Our employees are not afraid of Martin Shukrils and Jeff Bezos from the world. They take them to the court and win.” “Now, the president wants FTC to be a lapdog for his golf friends.”

Soon reports were circulated that the other Democrat in the committee, Rebecca Kelly Siloter, was also launched.

A White House official confirmed that both commissioners were rejected and did not provide any other details.

Late last month, Democrats in the Senate pressured the FTC candidate, Mark Medor, on the agency’s independence because there are fears that the administration will try to influence the FTC enforcement efforts.

Medor confirmed that there was to serve the American people through the independent agency led by five commissioners.

Bidoya, who took the constitutional oath to be the FTC Commissioner in 2022, said in his statement that he was supervising the service of the country through the agency. He highlighted the work that he tried to do for the American people, including workers’ rights and technology tracking.

“Whether you are Republican, democratic or someone who feels disgusting from Washington, you can hardly see the news, FTC worked for you.” “Who will do Trump FTC? Will you work with billionaires? Or will it work for you?”

FTC has been suspended on a blocked partisan road since the start of the Trump administration and the departure of former President Lin Khan.

Before the launch of the Democrats, FTC had one vacant seat. There are currently two Republican Commissioners, President Andrew Ferguson and Melissa Hollyuk.

Bidoya said that he would witness before the Colorado committees of the joint and the National Judicial Council on Wednesday and would be “more than that to say at the time”, but even this point, he had a message to the public watching Trump administration changes: “Don’t be afraid. The fighting.”
