Warner, Scott Spar on the arrival of the Doug Treasury

Sens. Mark Warner (D-VA) and Tim Scott (RS.C) on Wednesday on Elon Musk and his allies in the Ministry of Governmental efficiency (DOGE) for access to a sensitive federal payment system in the Treasury.

“If any of your organization suddenly allows someone to leave someone who enters your payment system that does not have a background in banks, and he has no understanding of money flows, then this suddenly gets the ability without any examination to consider all the personal banking information of your customers, and I think that and said that Warner has a group of executives in banks that appear in the hearing of the Senate Banking Committee.

“This is exactly what is happening in the United States Treasury at the moment of time,” continued.

David Liberic, the top treasury official, last week after clash with musk allies, retired, as they sought to reach the treasury system known as the financial service that deals with 90 percent of federal payments, causing a protest from the Democrats.

“Come on, guys, this is about the full faith and credit of the United States,” added Warner. “It is about our reputation in the world.”

Scott, Chairman of the Senate Banking Committee, retracted Warner’s comments, and read from the Treasury letter, which responds to concerns on Tuesday. The administration said that reviewing the payments system is underway, with a focus that employees will have “reading only” to access information.

Employees are working with Tom Krause, CEO of the Cloud Software Group, which was described by the Treasury Speech as an “expert/advisor” who was appointed as a “private government employee”.

Warner pressed Scott on Tuesday if he knows the state of clearance and security for individuals working in the treasury system.

“Do you know the identity of these individuals?” Warner said. “Mr. Krause is a well -known quantity, and he has a security permit. The other individuals, who have been informed in the press, do they have a security permit? Do you want this individual to get without a security permit for all this information?”

Scott suggested that there were similar questions that were under previous management.

“Under the Biden Administration, we had no idea about doing what he was doing most of the time,” he said.
