Witakouf: Putin prayed for Trump after an assassination attempt
Trump’s Special Envoy Steve Whittov said on Friday that Russian President Vladimir Putin prayed to President Trump after he was injured after an assassination attempt during the presidential campaign last year.
Speaking to the former Fox News host Taker Karlson in his pod, Witkeov said that Putin told him about his reaction to the attack on Trump during a meeting with the Russian leader in Moscow.
The Special Envoy visited Russia twice to discuss the details surrounding the negotiations on the Ukrainian conflict.
“When the president was shot, he is [Putin] He went to his local church, met his priest and prayed for the president.
According to Witkoff, Putin has a “friendship” with the president. “He was praying for his friend.”
Last July, Trump, a presidential candidate at the time, was addressing a gathering near Bater, Pennsylvania, when he was shot by a 20 -year -old Thomas Matthew Crociz.
Witkeov added that Trump was “not clearly touched” when he told him that Putin prayed for him after the shooting incident.
“I do not consider Putin a bad young man. This is a complex situation, that war, and all the components that led to this,” said Witkev in the podcast.
US and Russian officials in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are scheduled to meet next week to resume bilateral talks.
Earlier this month, Putin said he was open to a 30 -day ceasefire, as the United States suggested, however, he suggested mysterious terms to support him, including the desire to eliminate the root “causes of this crisis.”
Ukraine recently agreed to support the framework in talks with the United States, after which the Trump administration is trying to make Russia its signature.
Dmitry Peskov, a spokesman for Karimin, told reporters in the aftermath of the meeting that Putin received and tied on the evening of March 13 and that “additional signals” regarding the Kremlin position had been transferred to Trump.
